A Fathers Day Gift Like No Other

A Fathers Day Gift Like No Other

This is a video I made for Chad for his Father’s Day Gift from Ashlee & Kaylee..

The time is near when fathers up and down the country struggle to sleep through sheer anticipation of what Gifts will greet them the following day. “Yippee!” you’ll hear them cry, “It’s Father’s Day!”

OK, how true this statement is will vary from family to family, and it has to be said that form plays a major role. A disappointing show on Father’s Day will be remembered for years to come but the good news is that so will a great one.

Successful gift buyers don’t just go for the same old perennials that say nothing about the relationship they have with their dads they get something personal.

Personalised Gifts have really moved on over the past decade or so, and the technology is advancing at such a rate that one-off items can now be made to a quality that would have recently only been justifiable using mass production. GettingPersonal.co.uk, a personalised gift specialist based near Manchester but serving the whole nation, is forging ahead in the field.

The company’s eclectic Father’s Day Gifts range from the humorous to the deeply meaningful from crime scene toilet paper to a professionally photographed family portrait or a personalised calendar. Give GettingPersonal.co.uk his name and they’ll do the rest. No two Father’s Day Gifts need ever be the same.

GettingPersonal.co.uk have Gifts ranging from trinkets costing a few pounds to once-in-a-lifetime experiences that whole groups might club together to buy. Either way, a personalised Father’s Day gift will give him something to remember for years.

A host of Father’s Day Gifts in one place: GettingPersonal.co.uk.

I found a video that illustrate the fathers day gifts. I hope this video can explain more our understanding about fathers day gifts

Folks, I got an email ask about fathers day gifts. Please, if you know better I hope you will help me to answer it.

What are some great last minute fathers day gifts??

I know that when I go to places where you paint pottery, they sometimes have special items to paint for certain holidays! Get your mom to bring you to a painting place like that and paint something especially for father's day or something like a football, baseball, basketball, etc. Plus, it's made by you, and looks great! And they usually cost from around $10-$20!

In addition, or in place of any gift, make a list of the reasons why you appreciate him. Perhaps have it inscribed on a wall plague.

Please don't get a joke card. In my 20+ years of working with fathers, it has been rare that a joke card that makes fun of his abilities is really appreciated.

I wrote this to "Dear Abby" for Father's Day, March 19, 2005.

APPRECIATION FOR JOB WELL DONE IS WHAT FATHERS WANT TO HEAR

DEAR ABBY: Today is Father's Day, so why don't we try to do more for dear old Dad than give him the usual greeting card that promotes the idea that all dads are imbeciles, followed by a collect call to see what he thought of the card. (Father's Day is the day when the most collect calls are made.)

We should treat our fathers the way we treat our mothers on Mother's Day and show them we appreciate them for being there. Yes, you probably tell your father all the time that you love him, but the minds of men work differently. Anyone can say "I love you," but as men, knowing that we are appreciated for a job well done is what really gets us teary-eyed.

Something else you can do — especially you sons out there (but daughters can do it, too) — is to make sure Dad has been to the doctor for a checkup, including depression screening. This can go a long way toward making sure he's here on Father's Day next year.

I wasn't raised by my father, but by a stepfather. Although we did not see eye-to-eye on many things, I would not be the person I am today if it were not for him. This man, who spent years climbing on top of heavy construction equipment to prepare the ground for many of the homes, businesses, roads and highways of Southern California, now finds it difficult to get into a car. Although none of the houses or roads have his name on them, they are all testaments to his life and the lives of men like him.

So today, let's do something extra for Dad, without him pulling out his wallet to pay for it. — George McCasland, Overland Park, Kansas

Remember, there's a lot of us fathers sitting in nursing homes whose children live too far away to visit. Contact an activities director about volunteering Sunday morning. Read a list out loud about why you appreciated your father.

your mom and sibs could get in on it and wear "dirty" diapers your mom could yell at him to "help by changing them once in awhile" he'll be happy your all grown up

it's not as much work as it seems and it'll be sooooooooo much fun trust me

You are so amazing, it’s unbelievable! If it wasn’t because I had seen that painting getting paint from scrath, I would’ve thought it was the real deal xD

Seriously, I think if you drew an alien spaceship and send it into NASA, and you said it was a picture you had taken, they would believe you xD

  10. I was planning on getting my husband a really nice card, then writing up a "Daddy's day menu" (probably make it look like my son did it, lol) and I will outline the day, for example:
    Breakfast: Making Mummys french toast!
    Mid Morning: Play with me!!
    Lunch: Natchos!
    Afternoon: Trip to Dairy Queen!
    Supper: Chicken Parmasan

Something like that! Those are my husbands favourite things to eat! lol, we decided we weren't going to do the gift thing really, but I know the way to my husbands heart is through his stomach!

I also really like the idea that someone said about dressing the baby up in my husbands fav sports team and printing it. I think I will do that! But I will print a wallet sized one for his wallet and put writting on it like "Daddy's little Ottawa Senators Fan!"

That would be cool most parents like stuff that thier kids make because the take the time to make it. DO IT :)

  15. Have the 6 month old hold a crayon to a piece of paper and let them scribble for a card. :) And for a gift maybe you could get him a drool rag. :P As a joke, I mean. Or even a coupon that gets him out of changing the baby's diaper for a week or so. :) Or matching outfits. Or just matching shirts. Maybe anything that says "I love my daddy" Or "I love my daughter/son" (: I hope this helps a little.

  16. I’ll have to suggest http://www.creanta.com

They turn any image, including your favorite photograph into a hand made painting.

What I liked of them is that they are reeeeaally good at capturing the physical likeness. Not to mention very, very affordable.

They also combine multiple photos into a single painting. I was very impressed with the results.

They’re the nicest people…I highly recommend them.

    Best wishes!!
