live.pirillo.com – Father’s Day is just a few days away. This year I’m more grateful than ever to have my Dad. He is recuperating nicely after his horrible car accident recently. Have you bought a gift yet for your Dad or even your Grandpa? I put together this list of top gift ideas for Dad, with the help from my chat room.

Father’s Day is on the third Sunday in June. In 2009, Father’s Day will be on June 21st. This article explores the origin of Father’s Day in the United States and provides some ideas for selecting the perfect gift for your dad.

The origin of Father’s Day is not clear. Some believe this holiday was initiated by Sonora Smart Dodd of Spokane, Washington. Mrs. Dodd proposed in 1909 to have a church service dedicated to fathers on June 5th, her father’s birthday. Mrs. Dodd’s father, William Jackson Smart, was a civil War veteran. His wife died early in childbirth. He refused to remarry and single-handedly raised his 6 children. Mrs. Dodd wanted to recognize the sacrifices her father made in raising herself and her brothers, and to acknowledge fathers everywhere. However, since her minister needed more time to prepare for the sermon, the father’s day service was conducted on June 19th, a couple of weeks later. The state of Washington celebrated the third Sunday in June as Father’s Day from then on. However, Father’s Day was not accepted quickly by the Congress as a day of observance. It was not until sixty-two years later, in 1972, that President Richard Nixon officially established Father’s Day as a national day of observance.

Father’s Day has been widely celebrated annually thereafter. There are so many ways you can show your appreciation to your dad on his special day, and sending him a Fathers Day gift is a great way to show your appreciation. Among the popular gifts for dad are Fathers Day gift basket, desk caddy, coffee gift basket, golf gifts, gift for dad’s projects, and specialty gifts for fishing, motorcycling, hunting, hiking, movies, and NASCAR.

A great way to show your gratitude to dad is to send him a Fathers Day gift basket. These gift baskets are filled with chocolate truffles, summer sausage, shortbread, cookies, gourmet coffee, almonds, popcorn, along with an inspiration book of true stories about father’s love. Your message of gratitude will be clearly expressed to dad while he reads the book and savors the treats. If your dad works in the office, you may want to send him a desk caddy or an excecutive truck gift filled with savory treats. The treats will ease the stress of the work day. Moreover, Your dad will proudly display the desk caddy or antique truck on his desk after the treats are gone. If your dad does not work in an office, you may want to send him a lunch box that he can bring with him to work. The stylish lunch box is filled with sausage, stufed olives, cheese, chocolate truffles, and all other delicious treats that actually make him want to go to work. Similarly, you can send him a pail of treats that he can bring with him anywhere.

If you are going to visit your dad for Father’s Day, you may want to send him a Fathers Day barbecue gift basket filled with BBQ brush, tong, turner, as well as tortilla chips, nacho cheese spread, Everlast high energy drink, and your dad’s favorite beef jerky snack. Your dad will just have to take out the grill, and will be ready spend his special day for a family barbecue together.

If your dad works around the house for his never ending projects, you can send him a gift basket that contains essential tools for his projects, and energizing treats for his break. Maybe he can finish his projects faster with your gift.

You can also send gifts according to your dad’s hobbies. If your dad is a movie buff, you may want to send a movie gift basket filled with popcorns and other treats, he can just settle down, watch movies and enjoy. If his passion is in golf, you can send him a golf gift basket. If his passion is in fishing, you can send him a fishing gift basket, or a mini fishing boat filled with cookies, and other savory treats. Specialty gifts for NASCAR, motorcycling, hiking, and hunting are also available for your dad to enjoy his favorite hobby more. Finally, coffee gift baskets are great gifts to help your dad to relax and enjoy. Let dad know he deserves a break with a coffee gift basket filled with chocolates, gourmet coffee, and scrumptious treats.

In conclusion, there are so many ways to show your appreciation to dad. You can send him a Father’s Day gift basket, desk caddy, lunch box, coffee gift basket, or specialty gift basket. He will love any of these gifts, and your message of gratitude.

Flight Experience – Flight Simulator – Melbourne – Coxy’s Big break Story – Gift Ideas – Fathers Day

When you start thinking about what Fathers Day gift you will get for Dad this year you probably think about all the standard things—neckties, sweaters, books, and tools. The problem with these gifts is that they are, well, they’re boring. They were boring when you selected them as Fathers Day gifts last year, and they’ll be boring again this year. If you’re honest about it, you’ll admit that as far as Fathers Day gifts go these really don’t show much imagination. The trouble is, what do you do as an alternative? Luckily, that’s an easy question to answer. This year, instead of the same old thing, why not choose a Fathers Day gift adventure?

Once you decide to select a Fathers Day gift adventure all you have to do is think about the man you are buying for. How does he like to spend his time? Does he have a taste for motor sports or are water sports more up his alley? Maybe he’s more of an air guy? Either way, there is a Fathers Day gift adventure that is perfect for every man in your life. So now you’ve put a little thought into the man you are buying for. Now you get to do the fun part—select the adventure.

For the Dad who likes the water, consider a ride in a lightning fast jet boat or a trip down the whitewater in a kayak or a raft. If the Dad you are buying for feels the need for speed, what could be better than a day at rally car driving school or a trip behind the wheel in a V8 Supercar? Maybe you are buying a Fathers Day gift for a Dad that keeps his head in the clouds. If that’s the case then you can consider a parachute jump or a thrilling parasailing outing. You get the idea. There is truly a Fathers Day gift adventure for every taste and style.

Once you are ready to purchase your Fathers Day gift adventure, just pick up the phone and order a gift voucher. If you haven’t been able to decide just which adventure will be perfect for the Dad you are buying for, all you have to do is purchase an open-ended gift voucher. That way Dad can select the extreme Fathers Day gift adventure that suits him. All he will have to do is pick the adventure and the date and time and he will be all set. You can’t go wrong with either a Fathers Day gift voucher for a specific adventure or an open voucher.

Regardless of whether you are selecting a Fathers Day gift for your Dad, spouse, grandfather, or father-in-law, Fathers Day gift adventures offer you the perfect alternative to the boring everyday gifts you normally select. Your gift is guaranteed to be the talk of the day when your special Dad is surprised by the adventure of a lifetime. Be prepared, though, you are setting the bar high. Dad will be expecting just as big a surprise next year. Sounds like this may be an annual event.

PART ONE of a lesson in TWO parts. Topic: Father’s Day. Language Focus: set phrases with “make”. Levels: intermediate to advanced.

Fathers day is coming on 18th June. For all the fathers it is an important day, because they expect some acknowledgement from their offspring about their fatherhood. A lot has been written about mother and her role in raising her children. Some people compare Mother with God. What about father? How to you propose to let your father know about his value in your life? Let me give you some ideas about using Father’s day ecards.

Before you think of acknowledging your fathers role in your life, please go back to your childhood. Think of all the instances, everything where your father helped you, taught you and made you feel safe? Think about what would have happened if your father were not there? Thank him in your mind for bringing you in this world and then begin selecting some ecards or egreeting cards for your father.

Send an ecard that will make your father feel good. Let him know by your selection of fathers day ecard about his true value for you. Let him feel the warmth of your love in the Fathers Day ecard. Choose a color that he likes. The Father’s Day ecard should make him feel that you are very near. That will depend upon the text you chose. Select Fathers Day ecard with heat touching text. Send your father love and thanks on this Fathers Day with a lovely fathers Day ecard. Let him know that he did something great by bringing you up.

I found a video that illustrate the father day. I hope this video can explain more our understanding about father day

The story of a committed husband and father who consistently and passionately demonstrates his love and devotion to his wife and kids.

Father Time Does Psychic – Tarot Readings by e-mail, as do many others!

Sometimes a child plays in Little League, and when they get older, they might play High School or College sports, then after a few years, they may be able to break into Professional Sports! So, there is a progression, just as there is with many things that can be learned. People gain more experience and expertise, as they go through this crazy maze we call life!

When it comes to spiritual gifts, intuition, ability to read palms, tarot cards, and a person’s future, there is the same sort of progress that the practitioner makes as she or he continues on the spiritual path.

A teenager might buy a deck of tarot cards, and simply read them for herself and her friends, for fun. Down the road, she might take that talent, and expand it into a business sort of thing, giving readings to others, for a fee, donation, or whatever you call it. There is nothing wrong with doing something as a livelihood, as long as it is not illegal or harmful to others, to people, to animals, or to the planet! After all, priests and rabbis are paid for their time and their activities.

I have heard people say, “Oh, I could never have someone pay me for a palm reading.” Well, that’s your choice, you will probably always squeak by through life, financially speaking, and that’s fine. Money doesn’t really mean anything, it is just a tool, and it certainly doesn’t bring happiness!

The point of this is that some people, including me Father Time, are able to give or do readings over the phone and through an e-mail. If you have talents, capabilities, intuitions, foresights, et cetera, who is to say what you can and can’t do?

I am a writer, have an Online SuperStore, and also do tarot-psychic readings via e-mail, so if you are interested in this sort of thing, I invite you to have a look:

There are also thousands of awesome gift items for you and for others! Please come have a look! Thanks in advance and Many Blessings!

Folks, I got an email ask about father. Please, if you know better I hope you will help me to answer it.

If a father quits his job does he not have to pay child support during the time he is out of work?
My sons father quit his job, a pretty good job I might add, because he and his fiance broke up. -She worked in the same place.

Anyway now he is planning on being a truck driver and is going to be out of work for a few months and making god knows what afterward.

Will he have to make up the money that he isn't paying or is it just gone?

I am concerned because it has put me in a financial bind.
I am in Texas.

Father’s Day June 21, 2009

Buying Dad ties, power tools, ball game tickets, and other gifts for Father’s Day are all acceptable ways to thank dad. We tend to go for more sentimental ideas, though writing on a poem on a card attached to a gift goes over pretty well too.

Your kids can easily write their own poems as well. Just start with “Roses are red, Violets are blue,” and have them finish the rest. Even the grouchiest of dads can’t resist a young child reading an ode to them.

Here are a few noted Fathers Day poems. Some are a bit corny; some are more literary. It’s up to you to write your own card, or decide what fits your dad best.

Father’s Day Poem #1: A Poem for Dads

Though we may not shower him with praise

Nor mention his name in song,

Though sometimes it seems that we forget

The joy he spreads as he goes along,

It doesn’t mean that we don’t know

The wonderful role that he has had.

And away down deep in every heart

There’s a place that is just for Dad…..

Father’s Day Poem #2: Admiring fathers

Look at him there in his stovepipe hat,

His high-top shoes, and his handsome collar;

Only my Daddy could look like that,

And I love my Daddy like he loves his Dollar.

– William Jay Smith

Father’s Day Poem #3: To My Father

It matters not that Time has shed

His thawless snow upon your head,

For he maintains, with wondrous art,

Perpetual summer in your heart.

– William Hamilton Hayne

Father’s Day Poem #4: The Child Is Father to the Man

“The child is father to the man.”

How can he be? The words are wild.

Suck any sense from that who can:

“The child is father to the man.”

No; what the poet did write ran,

“The man is father to the child.”

“The child is father to the man!”

How can he be? The words are wild.

– Gerard Manley Hopkins

Father’s Day Poem #5: The Little Boy Lost

“Father! Father! where are you going?

O do not walk so fast.

Speak, father, speak to your little boy,

Or else I shall be lost.”

The night was dark, no father was there;

The child was wet with dew;

The mire was deep, & the child did weep,

And away the vapor flew.

– William Blake

Father’s Day Poem #6: Anecdote for Fathers

I have a boy of five years old;

His face is fair and fresh to see;

His limbs are cast in beauty’s mould,

And dearly he loves me.

One morn we strolled on our dry walk,

Our quiet home all full in view,

And held such intermitted talk

As we are wont to do.

My thoughts on former pleasures ran;

I thought of Kilve’s delightful shore,

Our pleasant home when spring began,

A long, long year before.

A day it was when I could bear

Some fond regrets to entertain;

With so much happiness to spare,

I could not feel a pain.

The green earth echoed to the feet

Of lambs that bounded through the glade,

From shade to sunshine, and as fleet

From sunshine back to shade.

Birds warbled round me – and each trace

Of inward sadness had its charm;

Kilve, thought I, was a favored place,

And so is Liswyn farm.

My boy beside me tripped, so slim

And graceful in his rustic dress!

And, as we talked, I questioned him,

In very idleness.

“Now tell me, had you rather be,”

I said, and took him by the arm,

“On Kilve’s smooth shore, by the green sea,

Or here at Liswyn farm?”

In careless mood he looked at me,

While still I held him by the arm,

And said, “At Kilve I’d rather be

Than here at Liswyn farm.”

“Now, little Edward, say why so:

My little Edward, tell me why.” —

“I cannot tell, I do not know.” —

“Why, this is strange,” said I;

“For, here are woods, hills smooth and warm:

There surely must some reason be

Why you would change sweet Liswyn farm

For Kilve by the green sea.”

At this, my boy hung down his head,

He blushed with shame, nor made reply;

And three times to the child I said,

“Why, Edward, tell me why?”

His head he raised – there was in sight,

It caught his eye, he saw it plain —

Upon the house-top, glittering bright,

A broad and gilded vane.

Then did the boy his tongue unlock,

And eased his mind with this reply:

“At Kilve there was no weather-cock;

And that’s the reason why.”

O dearest, dearest boy! my heart

For better lore would seldom yearn,

Could I but teach the hundredth part

Of what from thee I learn.

– William Wordsworth
